L'Afrique du Sud a une époque indéterminée mais proche. Magda, son père et quelques domestiques vivent dans une ferme isolée. Magda, très attachée a son père, ne supporte pas la relation amoureuse qu'il a avec une jeune femme Noire. Folle de jalousie, elle le tue.
